Should you workout when you're tired? 

There are two things to dissect in this question and I'll cover both. 

  1. If you're tired/fatigued from not sleeping, life, stress, etc... should you workout? 
  2. If you're avoiding certain workouts because certain body parts are tired (i.e. legs are tired so should you run on tired/sore legs?)

You might be surprised from what I have to say because it's definitely not what I've been hearing alot lately which is, "Oh, you're tired? Take a rest day!"

After a few months of running just 3 days a week, last weekend I successfully completed the Peyton's Wild & Wacky 50K... and placed 2nd in my age group!

Listen, I love doctors. My father in law is a doctor... I was pre-med and I wanted to be a doctor for most of my life. But that doesn't mean doctors know everything. So when a family member told me her doctor to her that if she was able to do more than 6 reps, she wasn't lifting heavy enough... 

I was floored. And to be honest, angry.
